1. Life-Safety Challenge & Requirements

In emergency scenarios, every second counts—and every button press must register without fail. The client’s existing membrane keys suffered from inconsistent actuation and poor resistance to dust and humidity, risking mis-activations or failed resets. They needed switches that offer a distinct, positive “click,” withstand harsh environmental conditions, and maintain performance over tens of thousands of cycles.

2. Tailored Switch Selection & Integration

Swiclick recommended our sealed IP65-rated micro switches for the alarm’s internal test/reset mechanism, paired with rugged tactile switches for the exterior silence and mode-select buttons. Actuation forces were precisely tuned (200 gf for test/reset, 150 gf for silence) to balance ease of use with accidental-press prevention. Switches were mounted on high-temperature PCBs and protected behind dust-proof elastomer overlays to ensure reliable operation in kitchens, basements, and industrial spaces.

Each assembled unit underwent 50,000 cycle-life testing, salt-fog exposure, and humidity chamber trials to simulate years of service.
