The client’s machinery operated in factory settings subject to dust, oil, and constant vibration. Their existing buttons suffered frequent failures and inconsistent feel, leading to downtime and operator fatigue. They needed switches rated for heavy-duty use with sealed protection and a distinct actuation force to prevent mis-presses in critical operations.

Switch Selection & Customization
Swiclick recommended our industrial-grade sealed push buttons, featuring an IP65 rating and over 1,000,000 actuation cycles. We tuned the operating force to 200 gf for emergency stop functions and 150 gf for mode selections, ensuring each button offered a clear, positive click while preventing accidental activation. The buttons’ robust metal bezels and large actuation surfaces were chosen for easy operation even when wearing gloves.

Integration & Results
During production, the buttons were installed on the client’s control panels using precision drilling templates and panel-mount fasteners, followed by environmental stress screening. Field trials in heavy machinery lines showed zero button failures over six months and a 60% reduction in operator errors.
